Beyond my own little world

When I moved to the US in 2019, I really struggled with the food. Being the hero of my story, I set out to create an ethnic-themed restaurant.

However, I quickly realized that I spent more time focusing on ways to create a little piece of my home country 🇳🇬 in my city. I obsessed over the waitstaff attire, the ambience, etc.

Showcasing our rich cuisine was only a branch. At the root of my drive was the desire to have people truly experience my culture.

Now, at Cultured, I have the honor to work alongside an amazing team as we create access to cultures everywhere.️
